At 11, Started Learning Guitar and Writing Songs

at 12, Started Playing in Bands

at 17, First Trip to Nashville With Chicago Based Record Company,

Then Returned to Minnesota After Touring the Country

Played in More Bands ( 1969-71)

At 20. Hitch-Hiked Back to Nashville with Forty Bucks and About 100 Original Songs

Has Been Based in Nashville Ever Since

Played as a Solo Artist in Clubs and Honky-Tonks  for the Next Six Years 

Started Having Writing Success with Many National Jingles

Including 1976 Bi-Centennial Spot with William Shatner called “ Pull for America”

1976-77, Started getting Songs Recorded by Major Artists on Major Labels

Also Started Doing Session Work as a Guitarist With the “A” Team on many Recordings and Working with Publishers David Conrad and Tom Collins

1978, Met Kye Fleming and Started having Hits ( see songs recorded list) In 1984, Started Little shop of Morgansongs (bmi) and Other Publishing Companies Including Morganactive Songs Inc. (ascap), Dennis Morgan Music (bmi) and Cottagehouse Music Inc.(sesac), Which Together Make up the “Morgan Music Group Inc.”

Little Shop got a huge Boost in 1987 with The International Smash

I Knew You Were Waiting (for me), Written by Dennis and Simon Climie and Recorded by Aretha Franklin and George Michael

this record was a Grammy Winner and Topped The Charts the World Over and It Remains One of our Biggest Copyrights

Many other Fine people helped Build Our Companies, Including  Great Songwriters Frank Myers ( I Swear) Tony Arata ( the Dance ) and tons of Others !

Since then, Two Recording Studios have been Added with Writers and Catalogs Including  Paul Craft, Faron Young etc. etc. 

Dennis Continues on a Daily Basis to Write and Record and The  Publishing Companies now boast of having Over 8000 songs along with many Master Recordings under the Dreamstreet / Morganville Inc. Umbrella
